Mr. Coleman was a professional photographer for more than 40 years.  After getting his start in New York City, Coleman honed his skills in Santa Fe, New Mexico, then operated a portrait studio in San Mateo, California for 30 years.


Many celebrities sat for Mr. Coleman:  Bing Crosby, Sammy Davis Jr., Julie Christie, San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, Robert Mondavi, Charles Schwab and Oscar winner Charlize Theron.


He also photographed many athletes:  Joe Montana, Willie Mays, Joe DiMaggio, Johnny Bench, George Brett and Barry Bonds.


A highlight of his career was photographing future president Ronald Reagan in late 1979.

Mr. Coleman made his stage debut at the Coastside Repertory Theater in Half Moon Bay, California in “Inherit The Wind.”  Norm also performed at the Hillbarn Theater in Foster City, California.


He has a son, Mark Coleman who resides in El Granada, California.
